How We Review
Our goal is not to declare one product the best for everyone. It is to explain what a product does well, where its trade-offs are, and which type of buyer it makes the most sense for.
1. Product Research
We begin with product specifications, manufacturer information, manuals, pricing information, and other credible sources relevant to the product.
2. Real-World Factors
We look beyond feature lists and consider workflow, ease of use, size, maintenance, accessories, learning curve, and the needs of different types of home users.
3. Comparisons
For competing products, we focus on meaningful differences rather than repeating specifications that are essentially the same.
4. Transparency
We distinguish between information we can verify from sources and conclusions based on our analysis. We do not claim to have personally tested a product unless the article clearly says so.
5. Updates
Product prices, specifications, availability, and models can change. We aim to update important information when changes are identified.
